Becoming chronically offline
You may notice that I am online right now, on the internet,
making a website.
Both "chronically" And
"offline" are a bit of an exaggeration. Basically, the goal is to
spend less time on social media and on my
phone in general.
Become the opposite of who
some call "chronically online" people.
19/10/25 Relapse (Reddit)
I've been slipping. Going on random subreddits and sorting by controversial is so funny.
By the way, if you wanna sort by controversial, you have to type it in the url yourself. There's no
button for it anymore (in browser, I'm not sure if it's the same in the app).
Saw a video of someone doing
it on r/dostoevsky some time ago.
Did it for way too long on r/danganronpa yesterday. Most of them are just boring tierlists, which are banned
now as being "low-effort" posts. But the ones that aren't are so funny. Typing this out I just realized
I've basically turned this into a gambling-like addiction. Scrolling through a bunch of stupid tierlists,
so I can experience the dopamine hit when I finally find something funny and doing it again, hoping the next
post I see will be funny too...
You know, when people say "There are no stupid questions". That's not true, there are and I love them and I
love stupid answers.
Some of my favorites yesterday:
"AM I WRONG FOR DOING FEMALE OC X CANON WITH NAGITO KOMAEDA?"
- Uhm, obviously yes. The Nagito Komaeda
Police will come and shoot you on sight.
"Is it Offensive that Teruteru is Bisexual (or possible even Pansexual)?"
- I don't even have an answer
for this one.
I love that the way this is worded, it implies that somehow Pansexuality might change the
amount of Offensiveness.
Some other posts were DeviantArt-esque works of art, that I do not want to think about ever again.
Logging off now.
24/08/25 Illegal Activity
Fortunately, my ten (?) year old PC still has
a CD/DVD drive that can write. I decided to
step into my father's
footsteps and start
burning movies. Which some may consider
illegal but really who fucking cares.
I'm mostly just gonna burn movies
which never
had a DVD release or are hard to find.
My first subject was the Devilman OVAs from
1987 and 1990. I would
like to let you know
that, AT LEAST once a year, I spiral back into my Devilman obsession. It's so strong that I
can't even talk
about it normally. It's one of the only manga that I've ever finished
reading. In fact I've read it three times and I'll read it
again when I get my hands on the
new german release (have 2/5). Some years ago
I rewatched Devilman Crybaby while in hospital for a
72h EEG and I cried so hard that
increased epileptic activity was visible
in my brain.
Anyway, of course I chose the masterpiece that is the English dub and wrote subtitles for it
myself.
Side note: Ryo's voice actor's accent
is really fucking weird when you listen to it
for too long.
Photos of the case.
03/07/25 Bullet Journal
Started bullet journaling again this month
(used to somewhat regularly in 2019-2023).
Nothing fancy, just me and my messy
handwriting. I wouldn't recommend looking at
the official bulletjournal.com website
cause
shit's gotten weird. $299 courses and plans and shit. It's really nothing crazy, just a
calendar and to-do lists.
Anyway, I also bought a tiny notepad today.
01/07/25 Alarm Clock
Got a new alarm clock
today so I don't keep
my phone next to my
bed anymore.
It's really cute,
the numbers are green.
28/06/25 It's the Damn Phone
I've managed to have less than 1h screen time (on my phone) for some days now. It's
surprisingly easy when you just
keep it out of reach and kinda just... don't touch it. I only looked at it every few hours to check if anyone messaged me.
This video really helped me a lot. Though I
will not go as far as getting a landline phone.

27/08/25 Creative Writing
I don't know why but creative writing is really hard for me. Which is okay since I don't want
to become a writer but it
impedes my ability of making original art and characters too.
I don't know why but whenever I try doing
something like
this it makes me cringe a lot,
like I almost start to feel sick.
Shoutout to my first oc, who I've had for five years now, who only
recently got a name which I'm still not sure about. I love him, but do I want to talk about it? No.
Maybe it's also cause it's a
bit personal.
He's just like me fr.
Still working on a short animation with him that I sketched like half a year ago. That I will probably
post on here "soon".
Trying creative writing as a kind of exposure
therapy now.
So I wrote a haiku about a nightmare I had. That dream was pretty fucked up. I didn't even write it down in my dream journal but still
remember it (was almost a year ago). I'm not really into poetry much (though technically songs are also poems?)
but writing a haiku is way easier than a short story. Sorry to disappoint all my fans but I will not be sharing it here.
One thing that helps me is just pretending it's not me who wrote it. The nightmare was about horses, so it's probably
Raskolnikov who wrote it #onlydostoevskyfansunderstand.
